Wayne Langham, Hilgers & Langham president, has been chosen for a three-year term on the Board of Austin Recovery, a nonprofit treatment center for alcoholics and drug addicts. He has served as the board’s treasurer for the past two years.

The board is currently engaged in a campaign to raise $2.9 million for Family House, an innovative program that enables mothers to bring their preschool children with them into treatment. A November 8 fundraiser with guest speaker Rob Lowe, an actor in NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” TV series, raised $200,000 for the program.

Langham has volunteered with Austin Recovery since 1984, including a term as Board Chair. Austin Recovery was founded in 1967 for treatment of indigents. In recent years, it has begun offering affordable treatment for working men and women. See www.austinrecovery.org.
